This place called Mayabunder, which is a big town, was not in our way if we were coming by express. 74 km away from Rangat, this place is also a port and the Jetty here also runs a ferry to some places, some islands of which are worth seeing, but they are more for the ones with 20 day's tour.
We reached Mayabunder at Eleven Thirty. Here, about 7 kilometers before Mayabunder, a place comes called Pani ghat. This is a trisection from where expresses leave by-passing Mayabunder.
At first, we thought that we should get down here, but again there was the same problem that if we did not get a seat on the express bus? We were told by the conductor that a local bus will be available from Mayabunder at one-thirty for the Diglipur. There was not much time difference, so we thought of getting off at Mayabunder itself. It was quite hot when we landed in Mayabunder. A shade was built near the bus stop inside which we sat. We drank it all a two-littered bottle of water.
When I and the Jaat devta looked down from this shade of Mayabunder, the sea was waving. Mayabunder is at height. Its three sides are attached to the sea. We took advantage of this time and walked down the beach. Neither did we ask anyone what is the name of this beach nor what is the name of the temple and saw both the beach and the temple.
The temple was completely deserted and there were not even priests in it. By the way, it seemed to be a South Indian temple according to its style. There was a sea on three sides of the temple and there was also a great beach. There was no one on the beach except the empty boats. This place is not very famous as a tourist place in Andaman's map. After walking around the temple, we decided to go behind the temple and take some pictures. The temple is at some height from the sea, so we descended from the slope behind the temple. While descending we found two ripe mangoes which we kept, although we did not eat them but kept them in bags and roamed for several days. There was also a wall behind the temple on which we walked and came back to the temple gate.
Children were playing crickets on the beach. Mayabunder's jetty was clearly visible from the other side of the temple. I had read about Karmatang Beach and a park here and I would have seen it but we did not have much time. By the way, I did not get to know, and neither did I ask anyone what is the name of this beach. When we started climbing back, there was a pond in which there were lotus flowers. They didn't bloom yet; it was just budding. After taking photos of them, we came back to the bus stand. It was about One thirty and the bus had not arrived yet. We started getting upset because the punctuality here had made us addicted.
I was telling Sandeep Bhai and Rajesh ji to get an auto to Pani ghat for some reason if the bus does not come then we will get the express bus from there. When asked by an auto driver he asked for 200 rupees. We were ready to give up to a hundred, but he was not ready. One Forty, the bus arrived. For the first time, there was a delay of ten minutes and we were impatient.
